MORE ABOUT ME 

Rose Geovanes (they/them) is a graduate of Illinois State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Production, Design, & Technology with a concentration in Stage Management.

They currently serve as the Assistant Production Manager for Roosevelt University's Theatre Conservatory in Chicago, IL. Rose brings together skills developed through coursework, university productions, and professional engagements to support collaborative, well-organized theatrical processes.

Rose has worked on stage management teams at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival and spent the summers of 2024 and 2025 with the Cherubs Program at Northwestern University's National High School Institute (Theatre Arts Division). They joined the program first as a Faculty Associate and returned in 2025 as the Assistant Production Manager.

Recent production credits include Stage Managing Romeo & Juliet at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival (2026); directing Witch by Jen Silverman at Illinois State University; Stage Managing The Prom (2025); serving as Assistant Production Manager for Cherubs NHSI (2025); and Assistant Production Manager for the Illinois State University School of Theatre, Dance, & Film (2025). They will next serve as Stage Manager for Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play at Roosevelt University in Spring 2027.

 

Outside of production work, Rose is an active playwright. Their work includes several original plays, most notably Our Experience With The Zombie Apocalypse, which was produced at Illinois State University in April 2024. They are currently developing a new play, with the title to be announced.
